SMS Policy

This SMS Policy describes the text-message program operated by Pet Guardian Club LLC ("PetGuardian") for members who choose SMS as their daily check-in channel.
Program description
PetGuardian is a daily wellness check-in service for older adults and other members who want a simple, daily confirmation that everything is okay. Members sign up at petguardian.club, select SMS as their preferred channel, and choose the time of day they want to receive their check-in.
Message content and frequency
- Daily check-in message sent once per day at the member's chosen local time. Example: "Good morning. Are you okay today? Reply OK to confirm, or HELP if you need emergency assistance."
- Account and safety notifications sent only as needed — for example, a confirmation when a member updates their profile, an escalation notice when we cannot reach the member, or a reminder if a check-in is missed.
- Typical frequency is approximately one to two messages per day, depending on member activity.
Opt-in
Members opt in to text-message communication by entering their mobile phone number and selecting SMS as their check-in channel during the signup flow at petguardian.club. The signup form clearly discloses that the member will receive daily check-in text messages and that message and data rates may apply.
Opt-out and HELP
- Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, or END to any PetGuardian text to stop receiving text messages. We will send one confirmation message and then stop.
- Reply HELP to receive a short message with our support email and a link to this page.
- Members can also switch from SMS to a phone call (IVR) channel from their profile at any time.
Carrier and cost disclosures
Message and data rates may apply. Supported on all major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Sprint (now T-Mobile), Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, and most MVNOs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy and data sharing
We do not sell or share your mobile information, your text-message opt-in consent, or the contents of any check-in text message with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number and message history are used only to deliver the daily check-in service and to notify your designated Advocate when we cannot reach you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
